I know, it’s depressing that the Senate plays special-interest politics with something so hugely important. But at least this time we’re the special-interest! Thank goodness for Portland!

Update on Twyckenham Ave Bicycle Lane Striping

The following information was provided this morning by South Bend City Planner Chris Dressel, with permission to post on this site:
The City of South Bend is upgrading portions of the Twyckenham Avenue bicycle route from the current “Share the Road” designation to striped bicycle lanes (one northbound and one southbound), each 5 feet in width. The upgrade will be completed in October (weather permitting). Bicycle lanes may be interrupted near signalized intersections to accommodate vehicle turn lanes. Lanes will be striped as follows:
