National Ride of Silence in Goshen

Posted by Paul Taylor on May 11, 2009

Don Poole is putting together a local ride as part of the National Ride of Silence that will take place on May 20th @ 7:00 PM in Goshen. If you are not familiar, The Ride of Silence is a memorial ride of approx 12 miles , ridden at a slow pace  to call attention to the fact that riders have the right to share the road and to remember those who have been killed or injured by cars over the years.
There is no cost to ride. The ride will start and end at Lincoln Avenue Cycle in Goshen. Poole wants to get as many riders as possible to participate. He is hoping for good media coverage that will help make the roads safer as well as shine a positive light on the bicycling community. You can check out the web site at www.RideofSilence.org where the Goshen ride is listed. Your best bet to reach him is at donald.poole@dometicusa.com.
