NYT: An Electric Boost For Bicyclists

From today’s New York Times, an article on the growing presence of electric bikes. There’s got to be a way of capitalizing on this regions strengths to not only retrofit factories/businesses to build electric cars, but bikes/e-bikes, too.

I just saw that myself and was about to post it, heh.
I can see why lots of unplugged cyclists might be skeptical, but I like the idea. Getting a whole new group of people out of cars and on to bikes would be a huge boost for cycling advocacy.
Limiting the wattage seems like a good idea to me, though, or else it’s more like a motorcycle than a bike.
